Curry practices in full, questionable for Game 1 vs. Pelicans

Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry was a full participant in Thursday’s practice, marking the first time the sharpshooter has practiced since suffering an MCL injury to his left knee which forced him to miss the entire first-round of the playoffs.

The Warriors didn’t need Curry’s services against the San Antonio Spurs, as the reigning champions won the series 4-1.

Golden State, however, will need Curry for the second-round, as the New Orleans Pelicans are the real deal and pose several matchup problems.

Warriors coach Steve Kerr told reporters Thursday that Curry is questionable for Game 1 versus the Pelicans, which is Saturday (4/28).

“Steph practiced 100 percent,” Kerr said. “He did everything. I would say he’s questionable for Game 1. What we have to do is see how his body responds the rest of the day. Put him through another practice tomorrow. I think he needs to string together a few good days. But I think today was an important day because it was the first time he was actually doing live action.”
