Budenholzer withdraws from consideration for Suns job

Atlanta Hawks coach Mike Budenholzer has withdrawn from consideration for the Phoenix Suns head coaching job, according to a report from ESPN.

Budenholzer, a Arizona native, met with the Suns this week after the Hawks gave him permission to.

The 48-year-old has been with the Hawks since 2013. He won Coach-of-the-Year in the 2014-15 campaign after Atlanta won 60 games and earned the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference.

The Hawks were in a rebuild year this season. They finished a lowly 24-58, the worst record in the East.
